We are an apolitical, international, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
RESPECT's goals are:
- To increase awareness of refugee issues among non-refugee students in participating countries.
- To build bridges between non-refugee students and refugee students through pen-pal letter exchange.
- To encourage students to act to raise awareness of refugee issues and to raise some funds for their refugee school.
- Of the funds RESPECT receives, how much goes to improving refugee awareness among non-refugee students?

All funds received by RESPECT are used in some way to improve refugee awareness among non-refugee students. This includes:
- Postage to send letters from RESPCT headquarters to non-refugee schools.
- Postage to send material to non-refugee schools.
- Postage for Poster Contest related material.
- When possible, assisting refugee schools with postage.
- Hosting fees for RESPECT's website.

No. We are a non-profit organization, but we are not yet tax exempt. We are working towards becoming a tax exempt organization in Canada.
