UN Youth Assembly
Wednesday, 16 August 2006, marked the beginning of a 3-day United Nations (UN) Youth Assembly meeting held at the UN Headquarters, New York, New York, USA.
I have been spending time with eleven ambassadors from One World Youth Project (OWYP). We all watched a documentary filmed on the Buduburam Refugee Camp by two of the OWYP ambassadors when they visited RESPECT Ghana in January 2006.
Before the conference ends the OWYP ambassadors and I plan to discuss a possible Youth Summit being proposed by the OWYP President (Jessica) to be held in Ghana in 2007. Our meeting would critically look into all the relevant and practical issues including logistical preparations, feasibility, etc.
